Key Metrics Explained
π€ Emails Sent
The total number of emails successfully sent from your campaign, across all steps and all sending accounts.
π¬ Delivery Rate
The percentage of sent emails that were successfully delivered to the recipient's inbox (not bounced).
Formula: Emails Delivered Γ· Emails Sent Γ 100
Benchmark | What it means |
Above 95% | Excellent deliverability |
90% β 95% | Good β minor issues to review |
Below 90% | Poor β check list quality and email validation |
π Open Rate
The percentage of delivered emails that were opened by the recipient.
Formula: Emails Opened Γ· Emails Delivered Γ 100
Benchmark | What it means |
Above 40% | Strong β your subject lines are working |
20% β 40% | Average β test new subject lines |
Below 20% | Low β prioritize subject line A/B testing |
π¬ Reply Rate
The percentage of delivered emails that received a reply β this is the most important metric for cold email.
Formula: Replies Γ· Emails Delivered Γ 100
Benchmark | What it means |
Above 5% | Excellent β your messaging and targeting are strong |
2% β 5% | Good β solid performance for cold outreach |
Below 2% | Low β review your copy, targeting, or offer |
β Bounce Rate
The percentage of emails that could not be delivered.
Hard bounces β invalid addresses. Remove these immediately.
Soft bounces β temporary issues (full inbox, server error). Monitor these.
Keep your bounce rate below 2%. Above this threshold, your sender reputation is at risk.
π« Unsubscribe Rate
The percentage of recipients who clicked the unsubscribe link. An unsubscribe rate below 0.5% is healthy. A spike in unsubscribes usually signals that your emails are reaching the wrong audience or the messaging is too aggressive.
