How to Search for People in Lead Explorer

People Search lets you find individual professionals from a database of 840M+ verified profiles, filtered by job title, seniority, location, and more.

Step 1: Open People Search

  1. Click Lead Explorer in the left sidebar.

  2. In the filter panel on the left, switch to the People tab.

The Company tab is selected by default, so you'll need to switch to People each time you start a new people search.

Step 2: Apply your filters

Use the filter panel on the left to define your target audience.

Turn on Has Email or Phone Number to only return people where that data can be unlocked.

Pro tip: Start with 2-3 broad filters, check the result count, then narrow down. Most filters also support exclusions — add a value as an exclusion to remove those results instead.

Step 3: Run your search

Click Search. Results appear as a table in the centre of the screen with these columns:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Title

  • Company

  • Location

  • LinkedIn

  • Department

Email and phone values are masked until you unlock them — you'll see ***@***.com with a View Email or View Phone button in the cell. Hover the button to see the credit cost before you spend anything.

Step 4: Work with your results

  • Use Edit Columns to choose which columns are visible.

  • Use the results-per-page selector at the bottom to show 20, 50, or 100 results per page (20 is the default).

  • Select leads with the row checkboxes. To go beyond the current page, use the Select all {N} results option in the selection banner, or choose a custom number of leads.

  • The Total and Saved chips at the top show your live result count and how many leads you've already saved.

Once you've selected leads, you can enrich them, add them to a list, or push them into a campaign — see the articles that follow.
