How to Manage Tickets in the CRM

The Tickets area tracks customer issues and requests through to resolution.

Create a ticket

  1. Go to CRM → Tickets and click Add Ticket.

  2. Fill in the required fields: ticket name, Ticket Status, description, Source, Ticket Owner, Priority, and Create Date.

  3. Optionally add tags, a due date, category, resolution notes, an SLA, sentiment, or a ticket type.

  4. Optionally link the ticket to a Company, Contacts, Deals, Tasks, Meetings, Notes, or Orders.

You can also raise a ticket from a lead's profile via the More menu → Create Ticket.

Work the ticket board

Default statuses are Open, In Progress, Resolved, and Closed. Use the board view to move tickets through your workflow, or the table view for a sortable list you can filter by priority or owner.

Tips

  • Always set the source — it tells you which channels generate the most volume.

  • Use tags for recurring themes (billing, bug, onboarding).

  • Fill in the resolution before closing a ticket; it becomes searchable history.
